SEAL Team continues to deliver, a range of new missions, enemies and equipment. The hard hitting effects of combat mixed with battles on and off the field help to show the stresses of war proving whilst they are near invulnerable, they're not total invulnerable. Adapting to new threats BRAVO steps forward into the light and delivers some fantastic explosive set pieces and fight sequences.
Having completed a breakdown of 2nd Line Gear for Season 1, Season 2, Season 3, Season 4 and Season 5, it's taken a reasonably long time to get onto Season 6 due to personal circumstances. This season saw a refresh of kit used across Bravo, with old favourites from Season 5 appearing and a whole new swathe of gear used through the season across the team, increasing that interoperability. A lot of time went into researching the kit as per usual trawling through hundreds and hundreds of stills and videos. There was as mentioned a lot of use across the episodes by the team of tactical kit and to some there were small tweaks (pouch added, knife removed etc) and I have attempted to highlight any changes in kit between episode. As always Bravo must have the right gear for the job.
Season 6 sees a return across the team a medley of kit, from old favourites to the new breeds, showing how adaptable the team is for their mission requirements. This of course generated some interesting searches to find and provide to you in this blog a complete breakdown of 2nd Line Gear as used by the various members of Bravo, something which is done nowhere else! Numerous images, videos were found, dissected and used to help with the identification processes and whilst time consuming it was fantastic fun as these are some of my favourite to write!
Equipment manufacturers
Season 6 saw a refresh of existing manufacturers appearing onscreen and some slight subtle differences in loadouts which made this season a tad more fun to research. In relation to 2nd Line Gear plate carriers, rigs, pouches and ancillaries, the following are the main manufacturers of note;

Jason HAYES (1B9)
HAYES during Season 6 is recoiling from the ambush set at the end of Season 5, sustaining more injuries but increasing his drive to complete the mission. His judgement and decision making as ever is undertaken internally and his explosive violent outbursts on and off the battlefield mean that the rest of the team keeps their distance.
Loadout 1 - Standard Operating Environment
HAYES starts the Season with his Eagle Industries NSW (Naval Special Warfare) Plate Carrier (not publicly available) and minor changes are made through the entire season, though this remains his plate carrier of choice. Across the multiple mission and environments of Season 6, HAYES relies on this carrier for all he needs, comms and ammunition.

(In radio pouch) Persistent Systems MPU5 Radio
Loadout 2 - Low profile
Deploying into Russian held territory to destroy an arms shipment, is accomplished by a maritime insertion (underwater) therefore kit and equipment is kept light with the bare necessities carried forth. A soon to be firm favourite by HAYES is the Ferro Concepts Chesty Rig. It's low profile nature and scalability options (up or down) are a huge plus for HAYES. Being multi-mission ready as well with the equipment means that whatever environment HAYES is dropped into he can hold his own. The Ferro Concepts Chesty Rig is again favoured during BRAVO's deployment to Jordan due to low profile and vehicle related work in a close environment, with the emphasis on stealth, with low key comms and ammunition.

Loadout 3 - Low profile
BRAVO led by HAYES were set to attack an enemy held position and were not allowed to wear their standard kit. As part of the subterfuge the team were to imitate ISIS fighters in regards to the clothing worn, equipment and weapons platforms used.

Ray PERRY (2B9)
PERRY having been promoted is taking a slight backseat with his replacement HAMZA stepping forward. PERRY does not though sit idly by and gets involved across the missions. Continuing his preference, PERRY chooses to use his reliable Crye Precision AVS only typically changing his weapon platform.
Loadout 1 - Standard Operating Environment
PERRY brings into Season 6 his favoured Crye Precision AVS which only changes based on his weapon platform of choice.

Unfortunately due to the fact that the mission was designated at during the hours of darkness, there were very few decent and available images of PERRY during the episode where BRAVO imitated ISIS fighters. The loadouts used by others in BRAVO seen are likely to be identical in nature in their attempt to match what ISIS fighters would've likely worn and to support the notion by any witnesses that ISIS were responsible for the attack.

Sonny QUINN (3B9)
QUINN due to environments he's operating in, utilises a number of weapons platforms outside of his standard FN Mk 46 Mod 1 therefore his kit evolves.
Loadout 1 - Standard Operating Environment
QUINN maintains his use of the SENTRY GUNNAR plate carrier through multiple missions with its quick scalability option, though he prefers to keep it streamlined with few additional pouches.

Brock REYNOLDS (5B9)
REYNOLDS takes a more active approach during Season 6, door kicking, close combat and typically getting stuck into the firefight aggressively and giving no quarter. REYNOLDS using previous experience uses a wide range of kit and equipment, mixing and matching what suits him best personally and what's required for the mission.
Loadout 1 - Standard Operating Environment
REYNOLDS continues to favour the Ferro Concepts FCPC V5 with some new pouches and additions as well as the old Crye Precision favourites, keeping him lightweight and adaptable.

Thoughts and opinion
It's taken a while to get into the kit behind Season 6, the producers keen throwing in new and exciting equipment and weapon platforms showing the adaptability of BRAVO but also the necessity to 'adapt or die'. Whilst the equipment used are examples of what could be used, the team effectively use them and it makes for some great episodes and pictures.
I truly am hoping that these blogs are helping those who want to take inspiration from Seal Team to create their own loadouts or helping those recreate the identical loadouts used by members of BRAVO. I love these kit blogs!
As always, it comes down to cost and accuracy. If you want identical, prepare to shell out the big bucks to get what BRAVO are using in their genuine capacity. Never be afraid to weigh up the cost of what's important. If money's tight, a replica of the pouch for example may be the difference between £10 or £100, don't go into debt trying to pursue this avenue!
So with the conclusion of Season 6, Season 7 will be reviewed in the not so distant future, so keep your eyes peeled, keep your feet on the ground and aim for centre of mass.
